About North Little Rock Residents Directory

North Little Rock no longer has one printed volume that names every resident. Useful details now sit in separate places: Pulaski County parcel and deed records, Arkansas voter files, court indexes, city permits, and local history shelves. North Little Rock Residents Directory organizes those sources by question so a name, present address, or historic place can be matched to the office or collection most likely to hold the answer.

Why We Built This Reference

The old directory book gave way to many smaller record systems. Pulaski County keeps assessment ownership, deeds, marriage records, elections, probate, and circuit files. North Little Rock keeps municipal minutes, licenses, permits, and neighborhood contacts. Arkansas agencies publish statewide court, voter, vital, business, license, and archive resources. Roberts Library, the Butler Center, Laman Library, and the Arkansas State Archives preserve the historical layer. We brought the verified search routes, custodians, coverage limits, and access methods together so readers can start with the right source.

What the Directory Contains

  • Distinct search paths: address records in the street directory, old volumes in the city directory, and one-person checks in the resident lookup
  • Named custodians: the assessor, real-estate recorder, elections office, courts, vital-record desk, libraries, and archives
  • Practical methods: ways to follow a deed chain, interpret a directory entry, compare census years, and separate an owner from an occupant
  • Access boundaries: the Arkansas rules for open records, restricted files, copies, and narrow requests for records that are not posted
